WELCOME TO THE TANZANIA CLIMATE CHANGE INITIATIVE
Tanzania Climate Change Initiative (TCCI) was established in 2019 and registered in 2021as the first public interest of the Climate Change Initiative expert association as a non-governmental and non-profit Organization with registration number 00NGO/R/2744 made under sections 11 (1) and 17 (2) of Act No. 24 of 2002. It has its head office in Tanga municipal, in the Tanga region. The purpose of establishing TCCI is to support the idea of an environmental stakeholder in the fight against climate change to bring together environmental stakeholders in the country and implement it by supporting the government’s efforts to improve the environment and combat climate change.
TCCI envisages uniting Tanzanians in fighting the effects of climate change and protecting our environment. Currently, TCCI comprises 700 environmental stakeholders, and the target is to reach more than 1000 stakeholders by October 2022. The organization has a 700-acre farm which is the stakeholder’s learning center for gaining practical knowledge on Climate change mitigation and adaptation pathways and technologies.
